The Stormbird Series is new for 2026, and essentially tames the race-like feel of the Thunderbird skis to make them more liveable and easier to love for most skiers, most of the time. Where the Thunderbird has bombproof edgehold and requires speed and strength to be enjoyed, the new Blizzard Stormbird 82 DTI + TPX 12 Demo Bindings use a similar construction with Trueblend Piste core and two sheets of Titanal but soften up the flex both torsionally and longitudinally to make the ski less "hard core." The top speed stability is still incredible, but performance at less-than-insane speeds and off piste is improved dramatically.
